Our School's Golden Rules
We recognize the importance of a positive approach to the behaviour of children in school. We consider the best way to encourage good standards of behaviour is by establishing a clear code of conduct backed by a balanced combination of rewards and sanctions within a positive school environment. Our school code of conduct is based on six ‘golden rules' namely:
| We are gentle… we don’t hurt others | We are honest..We don’t cover up the truth |
| We are kind and helpful.. We don’t hurt anybody’s feelings | We work hard.. We don’t waste our own or others time |
| We listen.. We don’t interrupt | We look after property .. We don’t waste or damage things |
Staff will refer to these rules on a regular basis and Mrs Devlin will emphasise the importance of keeping to the Golden Rules at whole school assembly. On a monthly basis classes will present an assembly. Mrs Devlin will present the Golden Book at whole school assemblies in recognition of the achievements of pupils working towards the Golden Rules.
