Facilities

We are so proud of our facilities in St. Mary’s Primary school. St. Mary’s boasts:

  • Spacious playground marked for playground activities supporting Active Breaks and Co-operation games;
  • Large grass area for sports such as rounders, soccer and gaelic football;
  • Junior school 'Active Learning' area – supporting children’s creative and social development;
  • Interactive White Boards in every classroom developing children’s ICT skills;
  • State of the Art Sports Hall and equipment developing children’s physical and social skills and capabilities;

Outdoor area for P1 - P3

A new dedicated outdoor area for Primary 1 - P3 children enables staff and pupils to access and experience the great outdoors from their classroom. A bespoke decked boat – play and gardening area ensures that the pupils can have fun while learning about their environment

Library

Dedicated libraries for our Junior school(Reception- P3) and our senior school (P4-7) supported by our Parent librarian. Pupil's borrowing of books is monitored and in Term 2, pupil's identified by the Parent Librarian as having accessed the Library regularly and submitted interesting Book Reviews are rewarded at whole school assembly. 

Learning Support Room

Bespoke Learning Support room  fully resourced to support pupil's Literacy and Numeracy needs. Pupils identified from scores and teacher's monitoring access specific support in either Literacy or Numeracy in this quiet and supportive learning environment.
