What a Day!

23rd Jun 2026
What a wonderful way to round off another fantastic day at St. Mary’s!

The children and staff were delighted to receive a surprise visit from the ice cream van today. A huge thank you to Mrs Devlin for this very thoughtful treat, which was certainly well received in the warm weather. There were lots of smiling faces as everyone enjoyed a well-earned ice cream in the sunshine.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to our bus driver, who very kindly gifted the school bottles of water and crisps. The bottles of water were greatly appreciated and put to very good use throughout the day in the warm conditions. The crisps will be enjoyed by the children over the coming days.

To top it all off, the children had a fantastic afternoon at the PTA Movie Afternoon. Thank you to our wonderful PTA for organising this special event and for treating the children to such an enjoyable experience. Their continued generosity, hard work and commitment help create lasting memories for our pupils and enrich school life for everyone.

Days like today reflect the very heart of our school vision and ethos. At St. Mary’s, we are committed to creating a nurturing, caring and happy environment where children feel valued, supported and encouraged to enjoy their childhood. Alongside achieving success in their learning, we believe it is equally important that our pupils experience joy, friendship and a strong sense of belonging within our school community.

As the warm weather continues, we kindly remind all children to wear sun cream each day, bring a water bottle to stay hydrated, and come to school in appropriate clothing for the conditions.

Thank you to everyone who helped make today so special for our children.
