March in P3/4
March has come and gone and along the way we have had lots of fun with our learning. We have worked extensively on our ICT skills creating transport charts and data tables linked to our topic as well as completing live lessons with ‘just2easy’ on animation, coding and digital painting and writing. We just loved Tuesday mornings with Nicola.
We worked on persuasive writing in literacy and made sure we included all of the desirable features in our adverts for ‘New Transport Inventions’.
For our St. Patrick’s Concert we worked really hard on our Irish dancing and speaking skills so that we could perform ‘The Waves of Tory’ and ‘Stad, Feach, Eist’ with confidence and enjoyment.
World Book Day was great fun - we loved having the chance to dress up as a character from our favourite book and Mrs Hamill made short videos of us explaining why we wanted to become those characters for the day. Designing our own book covers was challenging but we really enjoyed it. In literacy we wrote about what our dream job would be - the future looks bright for Stewarstown- with builders, farmers, vets and scientists, to mention just a few.
A really special event for us was when our P4’s made their First Confessions. It was a very important day in their lives that they shared with families, friends and each other.
For World Maths Day we competed against lots of children from around the world using Mathletics and had a great time practising our times tables through games. As usual we had our Monday PE sessions with AB Coaching.
Finally, we want to congratulate the P4’s, who have been working really hard on their Tin Whistle skills with Donald. We can’t wait to hear them play for everyone at 1st Holy Communion.
No doubt April will will be as fun-filled. and exciting in P3/4
