Creative Connections

17th Apr 2026

Prior to Easter, Mr Cullen’s P5/6 class had the privilege of participating in Creative Connections, a cross-border arts initiative. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed working with clay to create house-shaped tealight holders and self-portraits. They also had a fantastic experience using plaster of Paris to design birds and abstract sculptures. It was wonderful to see the children so highly engaged throughout the project, using art as a means to express their imagination, creativity and individual personalities. Many thanks to Anna from Creative Connections for facilitating the sessions. Her skills, expertise and enthusiasm truly inspired the pupils and enabled them to produce an impressive range of artwork. In the coming weeks, some of the children will travel to Derry to meet pupils from Cavan and Glengormley who also participated in the project. This visit will provide an opportunity to view and celebrate the artwork they created together
