Today in St Mary’s, every class from P1–P7 took part in exciting, hands-on learning activities exploring the area of Shape and Space. This is a key focus in our School Development Plan this year, alongside our ongoing whole-school drive to further strengthen reading.
Mrs Devlin visited each class throughout the day and was thoroughly impressed with the high level of engagement and enthusiasm shown by all pupils. Children confidently explored 2-D and 3-D shapes, discussing their properties, identifying shapes in the school environment, and participating in interactive, practical activities that brought their learning to life.
It was wonderful to see such strong mathematical thinking, problem-solving and collaborative learning happening right across the school.
