📚 Pupil Voice in Action – Reading

27th Jan 2026

Today, representatives from each class met with Mrs Devlin to talk about their reading journey in school. The children spoke confidently about how reading helps them learn new words, understand stories, answer questions carefully and enjoy books across a range of genres. They shared how teachers support them through reading aloud, guided reading, discussion and encouragement, helping them to grow in confidence as readers. It was a pleasure to hear such thoughtful and honest reflections on their learning. Thank you to all of the pupils who took part – we are incredibly proud of you.

These conversations clearly reflect our school vision of Growing in Faith, Learning with Joy, Succeeding Together, and our continued focus on developing confident, enthusiastic readers across the school.
