We are very sad to share some news this evening. Our much-loved school cat, Oreo, was unfortunately knocked down earlier this evening.
We know that many of our pupils have been very fond of Oreo over the years, and we wanted to let you know in advance so that you may choose to talk to your child about it before they come to school tomorrow.
Oreo has been a part of St. Mary’s for 15 years, bringing joy, comfort and companionship to both staff and pupils. Patricia and her husband kindly retrieved her this evening, and she has been laid to rest in the school grounds. In time, we will place a small plaque to mark her resting place so that the children can remember her fondly.
Oreo will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. 💙🐾
