P5 Home Learning: Monday 25th January- Friday 29th January 2021

Hello my honeys... Can you believe that this is now Week 4 of home Learning? I hope you are all looking after yourselves and your families and I really can’t tell you enough how brilliant you have been in keeping all your school work going over the last weeks. I just miss seeing you all so much. Again, please just say to mum/ dad if you are worried about anything to do with school. They will message me and I can even speak to you on the phone if that would help.  I have been so busy marking all of your absolutely fantastic work that was sent in on Dojo and in your homework books and I can’t wait to see what you will do for me this week as well. As always, just do your best and I have no doubt that it will be brilliant!!

Like the other weeks before, I have given you activities to complete each day. Keep posting as often as you can and I will get your feedback back to you as soon as I can. You are experts at all this now and I am the very lucky teacher to have you as my class.

God bless and lots of love, Mrs Hamill, xx

This is also Catholic Schools Week. Please use the link below and perhaps complete some of the tasks or read some of the stories if you would like to.

Literacy: “City Life is the winner” worksheet: All sections.

Numeracy:List the coins in each person’s change’ (Change from £20) worksheet-  Pg:65.

You will need to use your addition and subtraction skills that we have been working on over the past 2 weeks to help you complete the Numeracy tasks this week.

Be really careful with layout making sure £ signs are under each other, as well as the numbers and decimal points so that you are adding/ subtracting the right number partners.

** In these questions you need to first of all carefully work out what the change will be by applying your subtraction skills.

Remember: lay it out like this if you can  :

1a:       £ 2 0 . 0  0

          -£ 1 2 . 5 0

            ________

           £ 0 7 . 5  0      =   £5 + £2 +  50p

Please also complete Monday night’s homework tasks, spellings and reading.

Keep working at learning 7 times tables.
