Stormont Visit
9th Jun 2026
Today, our P6/7 class had the exciting opportunity to visit the iconic Stormont Buildings, thanks to the kind organisation of First Minister Michelle O'Neill's Office and in particular Linda Dillon. The trip provided the children with a valuable insight into how government works in Northern Ireland, while also offering plenty of time for fun and relaxation.
The children explored the impressive Stormont Buildings and were given a chance to see inside the Assembly Chamber, where important decisions affecting the country are made. It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to learn more about democracy, leadership, and the role of elected officials. The children showed great interest throughout, asking thoughtful questions and representing our school with pride. A special thank you goes to Marina who showed us around on a wonderful Stormont tour.
The day continued with a visit to the playpark, where there was plenty of laughter and energy as the children enjoyed some well-earned fun time together. It was a great way to round off an already memorable experience.
